ROM Toolbox custom icons

I'm on a tmobile galaxy s2 and every time I install a custom icon on it from ROM Toolbox and reboot then it just appears as the normal. is there anything else I need to do

Yes my phone is rooted

Are you using a custom ROM as well? Some of them will overwrite the standard SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk.
