[ROM] Warm Z TwoPointTwo [RLS1][2/23/2011] Re-Engineered Nightlies [3/12/11]

I'm having an issue installing the "stock fonts" from the optional downloads section. I'm installing the rom through ROM Manager and everytime I try it - the font doesn't change, and somehow my marketplace and astro apps get deleted.

I'm installing it through the "install ROM from SD-Card" option in ROM Manager... and deleting delv cache before the install. Any ideas?

Edit: FYI just got into this ROM flashing thing today, so I still don't totally know what i'm doing.

I'm going from memory here but, I wouldn't do it from ROM manager. Do it manually from recovery...90% percent of the time when something doesn't flash right its because I was using ROM manager.

Make sure the .zip you want to install is on the root of your SD card. To navigate the menus in recovery use the volume up and downs to scroll, the power button to return to previous menu, and the optical track button to make selections. Hold down the power button to bring up the menu of options like power off, reboot etc...go to reboot, reboot to recovery. Go to "install zip from SD". Once there scroll through the items on the zip until you find the fonts .zip, select it, tell it your sure, and let it do its thing. Once it's done use the power button to go back to the menu with reboot system and reboot. You should now have the old fonts installed.

I'm using ClockworkMod Recovery 3.0.0.8 if that helps any...

Also, the Hulu update isn't working for me either. It'll install but when I open the app the Flash doesn't seem to be working. It only shows an hourglass.

This is from something i posted on the page prior to this one so I've added some edits but it applies to your font problem as well...

The catch is that you need to use CWM 2.5.xx to flash the nightlies. It's easy though, just download it, make sure you have the CWM zip and the ROM (edit: font zip or what ever your flashing for this rom) both on the root of the card, flash the CWM 2.5 first, this will temporarily give you CWM 2.5.xx. Don't reboot yet, do your data wipes and flash the ROM (or whatever mod your doing), then when you reboot it will automatically give you back CWM 3.0.xx or what ever you had before you flashed to the older one. You should now be good to go.

Not sure about the hulu problem, I didn't stick with the ROM long enough to worry about it, it was hard to watch videos when the phone kept locking itself up and randomly rebooting.

Thanks man, very cool of you. Patience is a necessity when you have 3 year old twins. As far as the article goes, I started reading it and thought "damn where was this article 6 months ago before I rooted my phone! " Seriously though, he's absolutely right except that you can only learn by doing. We have a saying in the aviation community, everyone starts with zero hours even the astronauts.

i guess im pretty stupid, ive search for 2-3 hours for a clockworkmod 2.5x download file zip from someone anywhere anything, instructions are always just download cwm2.5 then put both cwm and rom on SD then flash cwm, well i cant even find the file can someone make a tutorial that works for me? if not its cool i understand other people dont really run into what i am they all know where to go i guess... ill check back later i wish i can just see the download for cwm 2.5 like everyone else did, im going to go search again wish me luck!

Stock fonts work as advertised! Much easier to read now.

I've had one issue so far today, the phone went dead and would not power back up. Had to batt pull. That was at about noon or so...its 445 right now...east coast time.

I'm totally kidding...I was up getting ready for work anyway.

I've never done it through hboot, does it automatically revert back to CWM 3.0 after you reboot into the ROM? The flashable .zip I linked does, just not sure about the PB31IMG way of doing it.

thanks for all the links but wanda helped me first, thanks wanda. im going to flash over this nightly pretty soon today, but 1 more question b4 i full whipe and flash cwm, i dont have to change anything or file namkes do i just add that zip to my sc, then full wipe then flash cwm2 then rom?

um, i think you download whichever recovery you want to flash and rename it, so when you flash it you get whichever version you downloaded.

and good looking out with the advice!! i wasnt tryin to circumvent you, i was just offering some extra help just in case.

ah maybe. also sometimes if you did one thing with one version of cwm, trying to do something else with another version won't mix (like going btwn 2.x and 3.x)
