UI lag? How about getting all the functions of the phone stable first? Turn off animations in spare parts or set them to fast :P. LG has screwy adds to the AOSP coding to deal with..i.e. MMS. Even G2X (Cyanogen himself) /2X devs have had fun fixing the LG screw ups. aosp (OV dev) is only 1 guy...and unfortunately has a life :( So patience will have to be a virtue until he fixes or LG drops source for GB/updated libs
Meh cant please em all.

If your experiencing UI lag I highly suggest backing up and wiping everything and reinstalling.
Then One by one reinstall each app and play with the phone a bit between each install.
I would almost be willing to bet you have a app that is taking over the phone.
Initially I had horrible experience with asop and some functions.
Then I realized it was a app I had installed. Dont remember which one now.
But it only gave me problems with the asop rom. Zefie's rom was fine.

I experience UI lag only for a couple of minutes after startup. I'm pretty sure it's ADWLauncher, which will often give me a FC or Wait option about 1 1/2 minutes into it's startup. I press wait, and 5-10 seconds later it is fully loaded and snappy as can be.

Zeam is supposed to be faster, but I've got my phone the way I want it with ADW, and I don't mind waiting through a 2-3 minute startup, since everything is smooth as silk afterwards.

Bluetooth issues?

Just wondering what is up with bluetooth on this device.

I pair my phone to my Nook Color for internet connection purposes (i.e., my inexpensive "iPad 3G" alternative), and every time I do the pairing, it says "Paired but not connected". How do I make a connection happen?

And, wondering whether DUN and PAN profiles are included in the bluetooth source for this device.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Press and hold the device listed under bluetooth and a pop menu may have "connect" in it but otherwise u need to use the nook to start the connection.

Tried that from both the Nook Color AND the Optimus V (after pairing); Neither worked (which makes me wonder if bluetooth is completely working on this ROM). Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Other thoughts?

There is still a bluetooth bug in this version, I think they are working on a solution. Try other roms if you cannot use the bluetooth.

To be honest the bluetooth issue ur having is most likely with the nook. The Nook color if I remember right still uses a hacked up custom "thank god it works" bluetooth stack since B&N never released any bluetooth software for the Nook. Plus the nook has wifi why would u bother doing internet over bluetooth in the first place?

*Noob enters thread...*

Can you link me to the features of this rom, as I'm new to them etc. I finally have the phone, and want to play around with it.

Also, in clockwork [probably should ask this elsewhere...] the Optimus V isnt listed?

You can find some info at LG Optimus V - ROMRepo
You can check the changelog, read instructions for installing clockwork etc..

The download page says it's starting download then fails. Can someone else confirm this? Thanks.

It's working now, thanks for confirming.
Maybe the site was just having a temporary issue. :)
I tried on two different computers earlier on two different networks.

Weird I have used this ROM before, was bored, so decided to use it again for a day or so. I wiped everything, EVERYTHING, then flashed the rom, then the gapps. It freezes on the android guy where you have to touch him then hit skip on the opening screen. Tried this twice and got the same result.

I'm not sure I understand where you are freezing at. Are you freezing at the activation phase? If so, just skip it, then once everything is up and running, you can sign into your google and other accounts and setup sync.

My brother had the same exact problem. Mine wouldnt freeze but yet, his would, even though we were using the same exact file. For some reason, it was getting corrupted when copying to the SD card and flashing. Solution? Putting my SD card into his phone and flashing it with mine. It fixed it right away.

It would freeze up before I was able to skip it. Freeze a second after getting to the activation screen. Finally got it to get past it but was having other issues so went back to bumblebee.

Hello, I just flashed this ROM and everything was working great except that I could not change the Wallpaper. I decided to reboot and then I was stuck on the "Android" loading screen. Do you think that maybe I caused an error when I restored my apps using Titanium Backup?

Also, when you flash the ROM, is it standard to flash the ROM, then gapps, and then reboot? Or should I reboot in between flashing the ROM and flashing gapps. I'm just wondering how I caused my phone to freeze up during the reboot.

I'm currently back up and running with my nandroid backup, but I would like to try this again. Thanks!

It could have been an app you restored with TB, but unfortunately, the only way to test is to install each app one at a time and see if one causes your issue.
