[ROM][WIP]CM10.0.0-RC0-BobZ

Hey Bob, I think you should know that if you try to change the screen density using LCD density modifier, it puts you into an endless bootloop :/

I found the issue with the radio, will be fixed with next release.
I have been playing with the keyboard, but I was only able to successfully trim 6MB... It become nonfunctional when I trimmed to much from it.
Where did that small keyboard come from? I may ask permission to use it.

Fixed...Thanks!

That keyboard is English only, so if you included Spanish or other languages, it will be that big. Most of the dictionaries are in the cm vendor tree. And hdpi and xhdpi graphics are removed.

I guess it's about time I crawl out from under my rock and flash this :) I'll take some bobz jb for 200 lol

Does Google Now work in this ROM? That's the main feature of Jelly Bean that I'm looking forward to and the other JB rom doesn't seem to have it.

Wondering if anyone is working on a AOSP version of JB for the OV?? I know they're was talk about it for ICS but it hasn't had any progress since like alpha 9 or prior. ( Unless I'm mistaken here)

AOSP is much harder to build and get running. So for now, probably not. In the future, possibly.

I just got the OTA update for my galaxy tab. Turns out most of the things I like best about ICS and JB were actually things I like about cm9 and 10. The official Samsung ICS lacks so much of the customization. I can't specify the number of homescreens, hide app labels, or display weather/calendar info on the lockscreen.

I guess what I'm saying is thanks so much for these roms, Bob! I've been using the 8/22 build as my daily for almost a week, and it is just great. Since I switched the clock setting back to 600 and the governor to "conservative," everything has been running buttery smooth without a single crash. A faster boot would be nice, and it sounds like you have a handle on the radio bug, but other than that, this rom is superb!

Thanks for the rom...

Just installed it - runs great but unlike your release notes -
home key does not work
camera takes pictures but it scrambles
cannot lock the screen (deal break for me)

That's due to the Gapps size. The rom is 102 MBs and Gapps is 85 I think. Its not enough space.

I'm sorry - who were you replying to ? Will flashing the rom without gapps serve me better? I do need Navigation though since I use my phone as GPS when I drive

Which gapps are you using? I suggest reading back to p4 or 5 of this thread to Zakman's post about replacing the rom's keyboard and using his gapps. If i recall, when i installed bob's latest release w/o gapps the lockscreen was fixed, but broke again when i installed the gapps. The buttons and lockscreen are definitely working for me. I'd also recomend doin a full wipe, if you are not already. These are large zips.

Thanks for the help, I wiped my phone, flashed my modified rom zip file with the smaller keyboard and then the smaller gapps, everything is working including lock screen and the home button.

My only issue now, it seems that juice defender cannot disable 3G so my battery is getting destroyed while I'm not even using it.

Edit:
Maybe this will help, the log file says:
"ROM is not compatible with AOSP helper (Band switch control is unavailable) - Get CyanogenMod"

I always set up the notification power widgets so I can disable 3g when not using it. Much easier imo.

Juice Defender automatically turns off data upon screen off, and lets gmail connect once every 15 minutes. This automation seems easier to me, since I forget to turn off data manually

OK. Lock screen and home key works without flashing gapps. Now how do I get my gmail synced because it doesn't have the option in the settings for it?
