Another question....does anyone have any issues regarding google maps KILLING their battery each time single handedly? I have noticed that Google Maps usually consumes around 43% or more of my battery. I have used titanium backup to disable the program, and unfreeze it whenever I need to use maps....its a little bit of a hassle...was just wondering if anyone else has this problem. Its definitely not rom/phone specific either, as I have seen this problem all over. I have disabled gps as well as location via wifi....and still this problem persists...

I'm running Zefie's still and Maps has been killing my battery for the past couple days. It just updated last night from the market. I think it was a problem with Maps, not the ROM. We'll see how my battery does today!
I'll be installing this ROM as soon as I get some time. I've been working 7 days a week lately! I really think the economy is actually picking up this time! Oh, and if anyone needs a fence in Florida, give me a shout! hehe

Sadly even after the update, out still remains.... I just delete the tricky bastard and reinstall when I need it the most . Check the rom out tho, its really a step up. Has anyone done any benchmarks?

Sorry to disagree guys but I think it would be nice to have the CM7 features removed and make it a mostly stock, clean Gingerbread ROM. If you like the CM7 you could always just get the official CM7 anywho.

There is no official CM for our phones. This is CM, but unofficial because it is not recognized by CM team as official (not sure if that makes sense). I have decided to keep this as CM. Basically all I will be doing in addition to very small changes is compiling the fixes that blarf makes to his code. I will however be working separately on a more pure gingerbread as well.

Nothing is ever as easy as it seems with building/integrating roms /mods.... *sigh*

Known issue, supposed to be resolved in the next release.

thx 4 da quick response. i love dis ROM to much to let such a little thing bother. but! living alone the fam calls so much and im never able 2 hear. u can imagine the kind of frustrating voice mails i get. LOL

I experience that on my Optimus V running aospCM7. It doesn't happen every time, but the majority of times I launch Google Maps/Navigation/Places, I have to reboot afterwards. Even if I kill the app, it continues to destroy the battery life until a reboot. Pretty annoying, but not a deal-breaker.

I may try to jump on board for this ROM if aosp doesn't push out a major update soon (for, say, Bluetooth fixes). What needs to be changed for this to work on the OV? Anything major? (I don't need MMS to work because I use Google Voice and, if I need to send MMS, do so via email.)

FWIW, I appreciate that you're staying with the CM7 customizations. Pure Gingerbread is really nice, but Cyanogen and his team has made it so much nicer.

Yeah i have ran some benchmarks with quadrant standard and with a stock SDcard and overclocked at 825 ive been getting around 1300 which is good for me cause with any other rom ive been getting around 1000

You should use the screenshots I posted in your first post for users to see. A mention would be nice too. I'm going to try to update the screenshots to show the default background you have after I flash the new one. Thanks again for you dedicating your free time to this!

Only thing I found so far is the bluetooth headset is not working. It will connect but no sound.
