Re: [ROM][WIP] Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread) - 7/15/2011

I should have the new build posted sometime today. I am not writing a changelog as I really don't know what is changed. All I did was sync up with IHO source. blarf has a wiki on github I believe that you can see any current issues and changes. Again, this will be my last CM build. If any one wants to continue getting the latest and greatest of CM I would recommend following Drew's thread and flashing his builds. Drew is doing an amazing job, be sure to thank him for all of his hard work.

Updated OP with newest build. I may possibly do another one at a later time, but with Drew taking off on this I may not. I am devoting my time now to a 'pure' Gingerbread experience and making a little headway on it. There is still a long way to go though. Hopefully sometime in the near future I will have something to test out (as long as real life doesn't get in my way or work decides that I need to be doing work at work, lol).

Flashing now! Thanks ath3nos.

Alright bit of an issue. Installed today and have now lost 3g. I have reflashed and wiped my heart out and nothing seems to fix it. Any suggestions?

Very strange. 3g works for me. Are you only flashing the rom and gapps? Or are you flashing anything else or trying to restore data after flashing?

See if Data is enabled in settings for 3G. Go to Settings/ Wifi and network settings / Mobile networks/ and see if Data enabled is checked off.

If it's on, give us some more info.. like what baseband were you on (V9, VC, or VD) and what rom were you running before the wipes and install. And did you format cache, data, boot, system before installing the rom?

Yeah I tripled check data and its on. I formatted all 4 and was running reborn 2.2.4 off Vd baseband. If I flash backup I still don't have 3g

man it seems I cannot access the market because I cannot add Google accounts to the phone no matter how hard I try . is this a bug and if yes how do I solve it?

Just Curious, I have been wondering about this for a long time. What is the difference between the

white 3g and cell signal on the status bar and the green colored 3g and cell signal

ath3nos : thanks for the update and your continued hard work on this ROM; definitely appreciate it.

Quick Question: On this version of the ROM, is it possible to use wired headphones plugged into the headphone jack and be able to talk on the phone using the handset's microphone with call audio coming through the wired headphones?

As of about a week ago, it was not working for me

I would reccomend Drew's CM7 builds from this point on. His ROMs will be more up to date and also has many fixes for issues with this particular build. I will be moving to T-Mobile this weekend and working on the G2x. But don't fret I will still have my Optimus and still be developing a vanilla Gingerbread build for it. I'm getting closer to having something flashable that sort of works, lol. Still getting a ton of FC's though.

Very anxious! Good luck with T-Mo. Hope you like your new phone. :)

If you build an almost perfect Gingerbread for the Optimus S I will personally send you a money order for an undisclosed amount through the mail!.
