Hello wanted to know if anyone has tried this ROM Android 4.2.1 LiquidSmooth ROM For R530C Galaxy S3. Does it have data unthrottled or uncapped? Is it anygood or is there a better one out there?

I haven't used it, but Liquid Smooth has a good reputation. No ROM will unthrottle or uncap data limits. That's controlled by the carrier on their end, not by the phone.

So why is there so much commotion about changing the services.jar and that will unthrottle or uncap data. Others say that certain Roms have that ability to do that.

By the way what ROM are you using If you have a sg3 r530c?

I don't have the r530c. I just did a quick bit of research on this, and frankly, I don't see how it can really work. Carriers can meter your usage at the server side, and nothing that happens at the phone can affect that. Can you post a couple of links where uncapping or un-throttling data is shown to work this way?

Thanks. I'll take a closer look at those when I get a chance. I'm very curious as to how this could work.

Don't know where to start here

1. Where does it say in the rom that you can uncap or unthrotte data?
2. Liquid smooth is on 4.2.2
3. Why are you asking this question in the general area for the phone instead of the rom section
4. Why are u asking this question here at all, when u can ask in the xda that you downloaded the rom from?
