It is not a button mapping issue at all. It is that the phone sleeps too deeply sometimes to wake (why raising clocking often helps).

Interesting. Do earlier and later Optimus S devices often sleep too deeply, or is it more related to ZVJ?

Goo manager is an app from the play store similar to ROM manager (but without the same risk). It links to goo.im (that's a website), which is a hosting site for android devs. With it, and a recovery that supports open recovery scripts (twrp or cannibal open touch are such for the optimus s), you can use it to download and install ROMs or any zips. For example you could use it to download the ROM and the format all zip for my ROM then flash both all from within the goo manager app. Also it will automatically notify you when a new update is ready to install. VERY handy tool indeed

Cool indeed. I didn't realize I had previously downloaded files from goo.im. However, the two Debug-FormatALL.zip files still generate 2 different hashes.

Okay, problem solved! The version I had uploaded was likely originally downloaded a year ago and has moved between countless devices, so who know what had happened to it. I simply deleted it and replaced it with a new version directly from zefie's site. I did upload it, then redownload it to verify the md5 sum matches what it says on zefie's page. OP updated with this link. Also, my goo manager is also hosting the debug-FormatSYSTEM as well now. BTW, another cool feature is that goo manager also verifies the md5 values after it downloads to make sure the final download matches what is on the server!!

Edit: Decided while I was connected to the server to go ahead and push a properly signed version of the rom. Give it just a few minutes and it will be back up for downloading guys!

Well, Cannibal Open Touch works and to my knowledge thekraven's twrp should as well.

You could still use goo manager to download and boot to recovery just no auto install. Although you might want to consider cot or twrp anyway though

Xionia will still work perfectly, but as thewraith420 said, you will not be able to install directly via goo manager. Simply flash as you would any other rom (just follow the directions in the OP)

I can do up a center clock mod if you like. As for some themed icons, I can't do much right now. I have been toying with the idea of reworking the whole system wide theme to favor more ICS colors but it will have to wait for me to get another optimus s to replace the one I lost. I have been supporting this for 6 months without one.

Just for clarity, anyone can make a theme with uot kitchen so if your interested, Google is your friend
