this is probably a dumb question but how do i make a nandroid backup? sorry for all the questions just trying to not mess up my phone

Step 4-
Now you want to make a Nandroid Backup. What this will essentially do is create a backup of your current setup (your current rom) as well as all of your files and settings that on your device (this excludes your sd card). To do this you need to select the option 'backup and restore'. Now you have 2 options, 'make a backup' and 'restore backup'. You want to make a backup so highlight that one and select it. Your device is not creating a copy of its current software state.

Your probably going to run into the same problem that I did with the Droid one. Nobody is going to take it on haha.

If nobody takes it on, you larry and me will update it when we can. It will turn into a basic rom discussion thread.

Your Probably right Brett,

I work on the road a lot, So my time is limited
Anytime I hear about a new/updated I will make a post here, Hopefully others will do the same.

Problem is they don't and just entire new threads =/

But anyway, MIUI has been giving me problems lately. So its time for a switch. Back to CM7 or finally try out Incredibly Re-Engineered?

I'm switching between Incredibly and CM7 its a nice change every few days.

CM7 RC 1 has just been released. I couldn't find it in rom manager but it is available in the Cyanogen mod forum.

I'm downloading it now. Not sure if there are any changes from last night's build but should be a solid build none the less.

I highly recommend wiping your device for this upgrade even if you are coming from a CM7 nightly.

I have been downloading this thing since about 4 pm (eastern time). I am only up to 18 mb out of 83. I don't remember any other RC build of Cyanogen taking nearly this long.

Update - just tried to download here at work - we have big fast pipes here at the office - RC1 download speed 4 - 5 kb per sec! Their server is getting crushed. :0

what do you mean? Nightlies are nice and all but they are not the final product. Nightlies are produced using the build bot while the RC and Official releases are build manually.

lol im at 36 mb 44% done . Yup I decided to snag a copy of the RC(just to snag for later) , but I probably will the nightlies to .

True, but the nightlies continue after RC's and Official releases. There is also most likely no difference between build #38 and the RC

Finally decided to give Incredibly Re-Engineered I try and boy, I've been getting too many FC's and reboots, its ridiculous. I expected a lot more from this ROM. I never experienced so many hiccups on an Incredible ROM.

Dissapointing =(

IncROM 1.1 to 1.2

i just got a droid incredible from my friend because my dx went bye bye, it has 2.2 rooted with IncROM 1.1, just wanted to know if all i needed was ROM manager to bring it to 1.2. i had z4root and droid x bootstrapper for my dx. thank you.
