Root ~ can't get ADK to install

ok, i'm a noob..

i read:

• atrix root faq
• "[Official] Beginners Introduction to the SDK(ADK)" faq

downloaded ADK R10
downloaded JDK 6

both downloads are compliant to my xp sp3 system.

installed JDK, but the ADK does not see the install, nor is the JDK visible in 'all programs'. rebooted pc twice. i know this is not a 'solve my machine issues' forum, tho i was wondering if others had a similar issue.

do a search on youtube installing android sdk you prolly didnt update the enviromental variables corectly
