Root files are in my device, but no root access

So I tried to root with Odin, and everything was good until I opened up supersu. It said that there is no user binary installed, and I couldn't use the app. I checked my root on an app, and it said my device was not rooted! I finally had confirmed my device isn't rooted when I opened up a root explorer app to try to delete the "su" file and the supersu.apk in my system folder because I had no use for them because I didn't have root access, and some apps didn't let me use them because they see that I have those files on my device, but the app said it couldn't delete the files! Is there any way I can get these files off of my phone other than a root explorer?
