i have the Telus pop icon. Ive done alot of research and i did eventually successfully root it heres how:

1. Download kingroot.apk latest version
2. Run it on your phone and when your phone restarts before opening kingroot again go to app>kingroot>clear data
3.Your phone may restart once or twice when it does you have to repeat the process ie. go to apps>kingroot>clear data.
4.This worked for me and hope it helps

Kingroot 4.1 does NOT work on the Pop Icon A564C.

I tried initially clearing data as mentioned but it always started the process over from 0% then rebooted at 20%.

When I didn't clear it, it resumed at 20% after the first rebooting, got to 21% leading to a second reboot then showed that it had failed to root, saying: "Root failed. No strategy now" and let me sent a report.

Kingroot temporarily rooted my phone using DroidKilla's method. Then all my apps crashed, then the phone. It got stuck on the "A service of Tracfone Wireless, Inc." screen and I had to hard reset.

Any progress on Rooting this phone?
I really need to find out how to store and use app's to/from the SD card badly because when the phone was first powered up it updated everything and left around 2.8 mb on phone memory.
