I turned on USB Debugging, connected phone to PC w/USB, ran the START_ROOT.bat file and it all worked fine, took a few minutes.
All I had to do was follow the prompt to unlock the phone.
Checked with a couple apps and the root worked.
Of course, I had been annoyed to find that the update had "un-rooted" me.
