Root or wait

Im pretty new to android but think I would like to root my phone. My question is whether I should revert back to froyo and root then upgrade to rooted gb. Or should I just wait in a root for the official gb. Didn't know if it was worth waiting or not.

I cant say for you but I have to have my Titanium Backup, I cant live not turning off all those useless apps and not to forget I have to have Bootstrap... The Nandroid Backups have saved me a bunch of headache but if you are open to wait that cool but I say go for the root now, if a root comes out later and you want to use it you can load stock from SBF and root and run advance backup from Bootstrap because all settings and apps should install fine because they are the same builds but you also need to wait for Deodex only update.

Its yours to decide but I would root now....

So if i go ahead can someone post a link to the easiest step by step way to go from ota gb to rooted gb. This will be my first go at it. It just seems that there are alot of good reasons to root. Once its done is there a sit or app that allows u to download special themes or apps for rooted phones. Sorry to be so dumb but like i say this will be my first try.
