ROOT troubles !

im attempting the XDA way but when i power down hit vol down and power i get the white screen YEA!!! see the green txt


it says something about invalid size or no rom error then just stops .


and my hero was seen thou ADB but my evo is not ... i did upgrade my sdk still nothing


and yes the file is in the sdcard root

Did you do the OTA update? It blocked the root method.

try redownloading, sounds like it could be a bad download. Another option is the revoked method that is just an .apk (app) that you sideload or downlaod directly from your phone.

first thing i did before i made the post for help was redownload the file :/

OK, then try the unrevoked method. Should work with or without the OTA update.

strange i tried the sdcard that came with the phone and it found the .zip file lol

sounds like you were struck with the sd card problem at the time... probably should do the OTA anyway.

I don't think so, you can use the unrevoked method though.
