I have a pc but all i see is tht if i use a pc i have to backup my data becuz its going to get wiped.. i was rooted on 4.4.2 using towelroot no hassle. I really don't want to go thru a drawn out process. Seems i may have to cave in eventually

Im going to look again but i got sum hits the other day to and none of them worked and false claims running 5.0 ill update on it

Rooting alone does NOT wipe your data. Period. If, however, your rooting process involves flashing a custom ROM at the same time, then yes - you will lose everything.

Root doesn't wipe any of your data. Back up is a precautionary measure even when not rooting

AT&T are tough on rooting so is Verizon...

May not be available yet on either of those carriers version of 5.0
