Root?

I have my T-Mobile Note 4 and Note Edge rooted so that I can use Adaway to block ads in apps and in anything else I do on these devices. Everything Android and iOS that I own is rooted/jailbroken now.

I will never EVER own another device that I can't root to do things that I can do now.

Sorry, no root for me. I have had jailbroken I phones, but honestly I do not see the need to root Android.

In terms of the custom gestures not really, which is why I made the note about videos. I'm sure you can find some that give you a general idea of what can be accomplished. Basically the GMD Gesture Control app gives you the freedom to create any gesture shape using 1 thru 5 fingers at a time starting from various parts of the screen (or anywhere on it) and tie that gesture to any application or shortcut launch and many per app actions as well. The interface of the app itself is straightforward.

Tasker's a different story, there's videos and guides out for that too that outline how to do many things. Simple google search should pull things up easily.
