Rooted but no unlock screen

I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 the phone is rooted and have done the drivers thing...everything ..but this phone will not pull up the screen to let me enter the unlock code. If I insert a different sim other than Verizon I get nothing no where to put in the unlock code an pin. Any suggestions?? Thanks

What unlock screen are you referring to - the screen where you would normally enter your pattern/PIN/password, or the screen where you can enter an unlock code to use the phone on a different carrier?
If the latter, what carrier were you originally with; what carrier are you switching to; did your new carrier send you a new SIM?
