Rooted EVO wireless tether shows as computer-to-computer network (2.1)

Have a rooted EVO (Unrevoked 3), wireless tether works like a champ to my iTouch. When I try to connect my XP laptop, it shows as a computer-to-computer (peer to peer) network and not a wireless access point.

I did some searching for this, but could not find anyone with similar problem.

I had it working before, and I could swear is come up as a wireless network, and not computer-to-computer.

Any ideas? Maybe roll by EVO back, re-update?

if one device can connect properly, try looking at the other device

Not sure what version I was running.. I installed the latest version, now she lights up as a wireless signal!

I am connected and stoked!

i believe that is a beta version essentially but it works for me too. im using the pre2 version atm.

per7 will work on any evo with froyo as long as its running a "stock" kernel.
