Hello all. Im at a loose end and not sure where to go. Im a noob with this so im not sure how much ive done and not. I rooted my M8 a year ago and did not create a stock recovery (i know dumb move) I currently have the 4.4.4 Android version and after delaying the update for months the signal is getting to me know and need to update my phone. Ive searched all the relevent places for stock back up versions and the only one i can find have no images or faulty.

When i rooted my phone i used the "all in onetool kit my hasoon" and SuperSU. Ive tried to fix before when i had S-ON. Used a program to make my phone S-OFF but im really at a loss....Ive tried to watch videos of RUU....flashing....firmwear but to be honest im getting quite confused between them all. If someone has the time and patience id be very very greatfull if you could help me out.I even contacted HTC directly to see if they would fix it...which the cannot. I dont mind if i have to unroot my phone first or just add a new updated flash. Just dont know where and what i can use in terms of other stock recoverys or flashes....quite confused

I don't know the HTC way of doing things, but if you install TWRP, you can make a system (which would be 4.4.4) backup, a data backup (which is all your apps, data, etc.) or both with a single tap. And restore any of them just as easily. https://twrp.me/devices/htconem8gsm.html is a link to what you need and how to do it.

Hello Rukbat, Ive downloaded the TWRP on my phone and after installing the latest image (2.8.7.0)...i get this warning? How do i know if this is the correct one?
