Rooted OTA available

How do we turn off the warning about the Location services? I have clicked on Never warn but every so often it comes back.

For anyone using this ROM, as I have been doing lately, here's a mod over on XDA that unlocks the 'quick settings' tab in the notification pull down and also removes the location icon from the status bar.

So, basically this is like flashing any other rom, correct? After I rooted froyo, and started trying Roms, somewhere along the way, my SD card crapped out with my "original" backup of the stock Rom. I have leaned to backup my full SD card on my mac since then. Basically, this would be (if I wipe data) like buying a brand new Dinc (if they were still selling it) with Gingerbread installed with the only difference being root has been gained? Correct me if I'm wrong. I would like to get this as a backup to restore to for when I upgrade in the future (although this phone is still awesome) and sell/give to someone else.

Been liking this ROM as it's the snappiest I've ever been on - transitions are much faster, internet seems faster, etc, but I do think i know why this one was shelved before they officially released it. The dreaded 'low on space' monster is still present on this and that is the main reason i rooted my phone in the 1st place. Another big issue for me that came back with this ROM was that Touchdown for Exchange does not play nice with Sense 1.0 and Outlook 2003. It destroys my Outlook contacts on my PC - changes them all to first name first (I have over 800 business contacts, mostly listed by biz name),and truncates my notes...

I nandroided (is that a word? LOL) back to this ROM after going back to Nils Gingersense but having lots of force closes, and upon it synching my business contacts back to the phone, got the dreaded 'low on space' error (while having over 400mb free), so had to delete data (from Opera browser usually helps) and delete a few apps to get rid of it.

Hopefully the real 'official' release coming this month will finally put this horrible, pain in the a$$ error to rest for good so we can enjoy the full potential of this phone - finally!

Yes - there will be a rooted version of the "new" OTA if there are any changes from the last one.

Cool. This is a great ROM. It has a few nuances that I would love to see fixed like the never ending Location warning, the wrong prod info and the fact that unless I pull the battery it doesn't fully shutdown. I can live with them but would be nice if they were fixed. I was thinking of flashing the new radio but haven't yet. If that quick settings fix kept the Location icon I would flash that as well.

To fully shut down, go into Settings>Applications and uncheck fast boot.
