rooted sg3 i747 wifi issue

i rooted my sg3 i747 w/jelly bean two days ago. installed wifi tether and my laptop will not recognize it. then, i installed tether setting? has the blue icon and i got that to work...wifes iphone recognized it and was able to use it. today nothing works. installed foxfi and pdanet+ and laptop recogs it but it doesnt work either....help!!

Did you install the right file? If it was a third party originally like foxfi the it should of been fine. But, if you were messing with the system file wifi tether (which I'm guessing you did originally) you probably installed the wrong one or it wasn't done right. Can you uninstall the files you installed? See if that does anything. If it doesn't, do you have a nandroid backup from when you rooted? If you do I highly recommend just using the backup to fix the phone because it would be a lot easier then troubleshooting.
