Rooted tablet - can it be unrooted

Hi all

Please bear with with me - a complete novice to all things Android.

Bought a cheap tablet off Amazon (running 4.2). Tried installing the SKY Go app. Unable to watch any content as it states the device is rooted (not done by me, wouldn't know where to start!). Basically, can the root be removed? i have trawled the internet for a solution. Some sites talk about super user which i cannot see anywhere.

Downloaded a file manager app, no SU in /system/bin/su or /system/app/Superuser.apk. There is one in /system/xbin/su which it will not let me delete.

Help!!! Please

LelikTec branded, model K701HBC running android 4.2.2. Uses Allwinner A20 Cortex A7 chip.
