Rooting 101

Ok..I know there are some threads out here about rooting. Is it "worth" it to do this and possibly void a warranty? I've been pretty darn happy with my setup so far running LPP and all kind of fun widgts but what am I missing? Can someone point me in the right drection? tanks.

I say if you are happy without root, then you dont need it.Seems like you read those threads and if you havent you should.
