Hi there,
I just bougt this new realeased dual sim Allview Alldro P3 Android with Gingerbread 2.3.5.

http://www.allview.ro/produse/telefoane/lista-telefoane/p3-alldro/descriere/

Google Translate

It won't let me acces Android Market, just 1 Market, where could not find any good app. For instance, Y.Messenger is vers.1.5, while Y.Video&Voice is ver.1.4, so won't work. Skype won't work also.
I understand rooting is needed for having access to Android Market.
Tried z4root and did not work.
Any help?
Thans.

Hello, Rush.
Thanks for guidings. Unfortunatelly, there is no area of support for this phone yet. The phone comes without Google's licence, which makes it unusuable at this time. That's why I was looking for help.
Thanks again.

Did you figure it out how to install Android Market?

I installed from a APK file but when I try to download an app I get :

The application Market ( process com, adroid.vending ) has stopped undexpectedly.
Please try again.

Skype works for me but not with video , you need to clear the data from the Apps and when you are asked (the second time if you want video you choose no and it works)

Hi Ralu21,

I encountered your post about rooting the Allview P3 to be able to get Market working, but unfortunately no follow-up in this thread from someone who already tried it for this particular model. Also no other hits found on the internet from someone who explicitly describes that he succeeded in rooting the Allview P3.
Since a couple of weeks I have some phone, and same issue...

Did you already have success in rooting your P3?
If yes, would you plse be so kind to share details and/or results?

Many thanks in advance!

BTW: Great phone, this Allview P3 (except that Market isn't available...)

@fraaijma:
Many thanks! I didn't know yet that recently an update for the Allview P3 was made available a few weeks ago. That update installed now, and indeed Google Market appeared to be available in that version!
Nb. At first use, Google Market is automatically upgraded to new Google Play Store.

For anyone struggling with lack of memory problems on the Allview P3:
I've succesfully rooted my Allview P3 (Gingerbread 2.3.5) and installed Link2SD for resolving the lack-of-memory problems!
I couln't find any info whether anyone had experiences with rooting the Allview P3, so I just took the risk and tried it...
For other owners of an Allview P3, below the Allview P3 specific things-to-know.

Details and tutorials about rooting and what Link2SD is and does, can easily be found on the internet and will not described here.
See the info and (many) tutorials on the internet about rooting, and preparing and installing/implementing Link2SD for details.
Below I only describe the additional information that you've to known for the Allview P3 specifically (for all other info: see tutorials).

A) Rooting the Allview P3 can succesfully be done using UnlockRoot v4.1. See UnlockRoot/UnlockPhone/UnlockFlash---Android Root.
Easy, and done in a just couple of minutes. When succesfull, a "SuperSU" entry will exist on your phone.

B) On your SD-card, you've to create a 2nd partition for Link2SD (again: see one of the many tutorials why and how to do that).
I used - as mostly recommended - the "MiniTool Partition Wizard". See Free Partition Magic alternative, partition manager freeware, partition magic server, partition magic Windows 7 and free Partition Manager software for Windows 7/8/VISTA/XP/2000 and Windows Server 2003/2008/2000..
Make sure to backup your SD-card before you start!
For Link2SD usage on the Allview P3, create the 2nd partition with following Allview P3 specific info:
- A size for the 2nd partition of somewhere between 512MB to 1GB is sufficient.
(some people describe that exceeding 1GB for the 2nd partition may cause problems, so I used something like 1.000MB, which is more than enough).
- Make sure to create the 2nd partition as Primary
- Most tutorials recommend to use Ext4 for the 2nd partition when your rom/phone supports it, else Ext3, and also tell you that selecting Ext2 is safe and will always be OK.
This appeared to be not true! Only creating a 2nd partition on your SD-card as FAT32 was finally OK for Link2SD on the Allview P3!

When above preparation is done, install Link2SD and follow the instructions/tutorials.
Via Link2SD then create "links" for all (or most) of your Apps (again: see tutorials; no further details described here).

70% of internal memory on my Allview P3 is free now!
Success!!

Regarding Skype on the Allview P3:
Skype-WITHOUT-video is working fine at the Allview P3. However, as soon as you turn on Video in the Skype settings, Skype will crash. Unfortunately it will re-crash immediately after any restart when Video was turned ON before, so you can't turn it OFF anymore after you've set it on... To turn Video off you've to uninstall Skype, re-install it, and then at first use after the re-install answer NO to the question whether you want to turn Video on.

Hi paarnuotse ! My name is Chris ,from Romania. First, please excuse me for my poor english !
Is a great news for me,because I have a P3 Alldro.
Please help me a little so I can root my smartphone !
I read the tutorial, from UnlockRoot, but I do not have USB driver for Allview Alldro P3. How would you solve this ?
PRO version is required for Unlockroot,or just the free version ( version appears to me is 3.1.1, I do not know why !!!) ?
Thank you for your patience !

Chris,

Assuming your PC is a Windows PC, for connecting an Allview Alldro P3 to your PC there is normally no requirement to install special USB drivers: the standard Windows drivers are OK in most cases.
I connected the phone via USB to a Windows XP, and connection was OK with standard Microsoft Windows-XP USB-drivers:
- USB Mass Storage Device (driver: USBSTOR.SYS)
- Android ADB Interface (WINUSB.SYS)

Regarding the UnlockRoot version:
- Confusingly, to download the FREE version you have to press the 'Free Download' button under "UnlockRoot Pro"...
- The download page shows "UnlockRoot Pro V4.1", but the FREE version appears to be v3.1.1. That's the same one as I used.

By-the-way: For creating the 2nd partion on your SD-card (before or after rooting your phone), I would recommend to:
- Turn off your phone and take out your microSD card
- Use an SD-card reader with microSD adapter to connect your microSD card to your PC
- Run the "MiniTool Partition Wizard" to create a 2nd partition on the microSD card
(see my earlier remarks: Create as a Primary partition, use FAT32, and about 1.000 MB or less in size)
When done, put the microSD card back into your phone, and continue.

An example of a tutorial for creating a 2nd partition can be found here:
How To Create Partition On SD Card

An example of a tutorial how to use Link2SD can be found here:
How To Use Link2SD On Android Device?

Succes!

Thank you very very much, my friend, for your answer. God bless you !
Yes, I have Windows XP installed on my PC, and I'll try soon, following your instructions.
Another small request : how you solved the problem with Adobe Flash Player ? I tried several modded versions, from xda-developers, but don`t work, and browser crash.
Thanks again for everything, and I assure you of my respect.

Chris,

The official / standard Adobe Flash Player App requires a CPU with support for the ARMv7 instruction set. The Allview P3 AllDro has an ARM11 family processor inside (which is an ARMv6 architecture based CPU) and therefore only supports the ARMv6 instruction set. As a result, the standard Adobe Flash Player versions can not be installed at the Allview P3.
However, hacked/modified Flash Player install files are available that can run on an ARMv6 processor. Keep in mind: these are not official versions from Adobe, can not be updated via Google Play, will not be maintained, are not guaranteed, and may include security risks when using them).
An example of such a modified Flash Player install file (I've tested that one, and it works on the Allview P3) can be found at following link:
- [NEW] FLASH PLAYER 10.2 FOR ARMv6 AND ARMv7 (ARM11) ANDROID PHONES - xda-developers
At the page above, follow the link described as "DOWNLOAD FLASH PLAYER 10.2.157.340", which points to:
- Adobe Flash Player 10.2 For ARMv6 and ARMv7 Android Phones | Android Campus
At that page, follow the link described as "DOWNLOAD FLASH PLAYER 10.2.157.340", which points to:
- AdF.ly - shrink your URLs and get paid!
At the adf.ly page, you must click the "SKIP AD" button in the upper right corner, and then it opens:
From that page, follow the link described as "CLICK TO DOWNLOAD NOW - DOWNLOAD", which points to:
This will start a download of file "install_flash_player_10.2.157.340.apk".

Save the APK to your SD-card. Make sure you have "Unknown source" enabled your Settings/Applications. Using a File Manager navigate to the downloaded APK, open it, and select 'Install'. When done, reboot your device.
After reboot you can use Flash Player from standard browser, and from other browsers that support Flash Player (eg. Dolphin or Dolphin Mini, but not from Opera Mini).

Don't forget: Flash Player may include security risks (especially for old and modified/hacked versions as described here). Adobe will end Flash Player support anyhow, and therefore Flash Player isn't available for Android 4.1 and above (although also for Android 4.1 hacks and tricks are available to get it still working...).
