Rooting HtC Evo 4g brand new

welcome back miss well i tried the ruu, at first it said it was not connected, then i turned on the phone to the white evo screen again and it said battery was too low under 30%
right now its connected via usb and off with the orange light on what should i do

Let it charge for a while and then do it.

orange light means its charging...just let it charge for a few....then proceed...pretty sure it wont let you do anything under 30% charge

you ran the RUU_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.70.651.1_Radio_2.15.00.11.19_NV_1.90_release_161482_signed.exe from windows?? what did it say?

it opens normally then it makes me check two boxes , and then it tries ot do its thing and says there is an error with connection of usb... then i try it again with it on and it says error battery is too low... when in reality its not

unplug it for a few, take the battery out and plug it in to the wall for a few minutes.

ok im doing that... is there another pc316(or whatever its called) for 3.7 anywhere cuz the one from tht forum is not good, if this ruu doesnet work ,which it looks like it wont, i need to find another one of those so i can put in on my sd card and tryi t that way.... also when i take it from the wall in a few min should i connect it when its off or on... cuz on is just a blank white screen with htc evo 4g in the middle in black

Did you get the 3.7 exe file from the directory I posted?

i got the rom pc316..... that iddnt work.... and the ruu that opened but couldnt recognize my phone both from [ROOT] ~~~ HTC EVO - Universal Auto Root ~~~ v2.2 (works with all version)(1/10/11) - xda-developers

That is the only pc36img that ever works on my phone. I use the one from MegaUpload on that page.

When you click the link go down to megaupload and use that one. It worked for me just now.

If the 3.7 EXE didn't work, put your phone in to "fastboot usb" from the white menu while it's connected to your computer and then restart the RUU.

I don't know what you mean by unzipping, it's an exe file you shouldn't be unzipping it, it's an application just let it run.
