I am not rooted, but I use Launcher Pro Plus on my tab. It has the ability to hide the icons that you don't want showing in the app drawer. I understand the draw of rooting, but I personally haven't found a huge need for it. The bloatware is unseen on mine, and I basically forget that that stuff is even there.
Having been there and done that..(rooting dx) due to my inexperience, i caused headaches for myself that i can ill afford being in undergrad school n all, however, is this the only way we can get the tab to be able to have video calls ? I use launcher pro like the other post, seems to work best, others crash it.. (dxtop pro) multiple times. I have already traded in a defunct for a new.. and didn't like having to go reset again,,, like on droid..i don't like the bloatware either.. but.... any suggestions ? what is tapatalk, btw.. i see it everywhere.. i use vlingo, but i am from the east (indiana) and not even onstar understands my voice, which is a pain in the arse.. is that a speech to text ?

If you have rooted your Tab I recommend using Bloat Freeze to stop the bloat. If you have not rooted your device but are looking to try Z4Root simple and works like a charm.
I am rooted (I always root for Baracle wifi) but haven't frozen anything ever. My tab seems fast and I never get any low memeory warnings. What is the point of freezing bloat?

Thanks for recommending Bloat Freezer, I am glad people find my app useful!
Freezing bloat basically makes the app stop running on its own and makes it invisible to your phone (tab in this case).
SprintNFLLive (or whatever it is called) just for one example starts when your phone starts and you don't even know it and is constantly in the background downloading something, I would guess scores and stats and I have NEVER even opened it. Using up battery, processor, memory and even data.
Freezing is also better than deleting because if you delete/uninstall the bloat you will never be able to get OTA updates again unless you put them back where they were and reset the UNIX permissions correctly.
