What exactly isn't making sense? I can help you but you need to describe what issues you are having.

Basically, you need to download a lot of files. Follow the Reverting to V9 thread, the Xionia CWMA thread, and if you want a rom, your choice.

If you need any additional assistance, we've got plenty of people on the forums that are willing to help...

I just actually ran someone through it using gtalk.

IMO the best way to make progress is to read the instructions once over, then when you go back to do the actions, post what you were successful doing and where you got stuck. That gives the context so people can help you and figure out what is wrong without asking lots of questions and going back and forth.

One thing that helps me, especially if you have to follow more than one set of instructions, is print the instructions and put them in the correct order. This lets me plan out exactly what I'm going to do before I touch a thing. Then I go ahead and download any software I need. Once I've done that I go ahead and start the process and mark things off as I go. I also try to block off time when I won't be interrupted but if by chance I am I will know where I was so I won't lose my place. Just something that works well for me :)

You're not alone. I've been trying to root my sons Optimus for over a month, he installed the OTA updates and I can't seem to make any sense of it.

You people nuke it all... We are here to help, but we need to know what you need help with.

Only way to help some people is to make a one click root method just like the z4root or androot. Those where the good old days!!!!!!!

The underlying issue with that is the one click solutions use an exploit (read: virus) which is not and I repeat not trivial to make.
