Rooting my phone

Hello, I have a HTC inspire and I want to know what are the benefits of rooting my phone and if I should?

Welcome to Android Central.

I do not root my phone as I just don't see the reason. If you are someone who fun for a weekend would be trying to get an app to work again, rooting is for you. If that would be the weekend from hell, maybe rooting is not for you.
