Rooting the HTC Desire HD

As a new owner of a Desire HD and being new to Android I have a question for the experts here.
Rooting the Desire HD is pretty difficult at the moment.
I have read the instructions on XDA, doing the Temproot, the Permroot and the S-off, but I'm still not very confident that I can do that.
Should I wait until there is an easier rooting solution?
Do you guys expect that rooting for my device will get easier (one or two click)?
