Rooting Verizon Moto X? (Or: Stream via Airplay?)

I have an Apple TV that I love. I used to use it to stream my audio/video via Airplay on my iPhone. Now that I've got a Moto X, I can't do that. There is an app that purports to stream via Airplay but I need to be rooted to use it. As far as I can tell, rooting a Verizon Moto X isn't possible. Is that right? Any other airplay alternatives out there that don't require root? I would most like to be able to stream Rdio and Pocket Casts but also the occasional YouTube vid, etc. TIA.

Just get a Chromecast.

An app called Streambels AirPlay/DLNA Player also work pretty good. Not as well as Allcast but the Beta might be closed on that now.

I have Apple TV, and Chromecast. Right now Allcast with Apple TV works better than what is currently available for Chromecast. Allcast does not support chromecast yet.

I just came from Apple myself. Apps that support chromecast work as well as Apple TV and an iPhone there are just not many to choose from at the moment. It is sort of like having an iPhone 4 when Airplay first came out.
