Rooting with Windows, Mac for everyday use?

Newbie here, just been reading and researching the Evo and rooting and such. I see where there is a great guide and video on how to root your 2.2 Evo using Windows. No problem, my wife and I have a Windows desktop and she uses a Windows laptop.

I use a Mac laptop for everyday use. My question is, can I root my Evo using one of our Windows pc's and afterwards have it sync my contacts and calendar using my Mac (on Entourage), or is it one of those things where if I set it up (root it) using Windows I will have to sync it everyday using Windows as well?

Just trying to get everything straight before I delve into it.

You can sync with any pc/os system you want after.Rooting doesn't do anything but unlock your phone to give you the permission to do whatever you want to it.
