i tryed rooting my phone and it worked half ass now i tryed to remove the root and do a factory reset but my gingerbread is still at fa19 instead of 2.3.x how can i get my gingerbread back to update and also when my software goes to update i got the lil android guy and a white triangle with a exclamation point ! in it and its just stuck.. any ideals i just want it back the way it was when i got it from the store..... with the updated version of gingerbread
 
If you are really stuck you need to find the original kdz package for your phone and flash it using kdz flasher.

Hello I'm new to android and running 2.2.1 why do we need root phone. There is only Rooting puposes to get rid app correct me if I'm wrong :)

Actually no, though that is one of the biggest draws for people. Rooting allows you to install, remove or modify programs or the OS in a way that the manufacturer would prefer you didn't. What this means it you can install programs like ad blockers, firewalls, and other neat little toys to make the phone more usable and less annoying. If you don't have any want or need to run any program that requires root then leave it alone otherwise go ahead and root it its pretty easy.

i 've root phone and went well, i want to know how i remove default application that come with phone

ohhhh forget to ask you one more question after rooting phone what if restore factory do i still have to root again
