OK LONG story short (HOURS of reading and Goodle search and I can't find what I need...)RSD lite 4.8 or 4.9 see my DROID X. Yes it is in Bootloader mode. Yes it is being seen by computer. I even had version 4.57 of RSD lite pick up my device but it had error in loading Froyo back to my phone. I have to return my phone and I can't till I have offical software on it.HELP!!!

Double check to make sure you have current drivers.
Try multiple USB ports and cables.
If you have multiple machines with different versions of Windows, try them.

If you are using windows XP then I had the same problem and I still have yet to solve it and I had everything right. I restarted the computer, reinstalled RSD 4.9, 4.8 and even 4.7, was in bootloader mode, took out the battery and put it back in and everything still couldn't get RSD to pick it up but the PC was. I was using a virtual machine of Windows XP on a MacBook but still. I then plugged it in my father's windows 7 and it picked it up in 1 minute after downloading the drivers automatically and I had it back to stock froyo in 5 or 10 minutes. If you know anyone with windows 7 I recommend using that its way easier. If you get it to pick your phone up I'll be very interested.

Loaded the rooted version of the new GB and now rsd lite will not even see my Droid X. Have unintalled and reinstalled all drivers and still no go. Windows 7 - 64. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

Double check the drivers because x64 doesnt always install driver correctly, also are you using the Volume Up and Down and power button to enter Bootloader or the Volume Down + Camera + Power...

Also make sure to plug into the back main usb ports and try another cable...
