RUMOR - 12/11 Stock arriving at Best Buy

They'll fix it. They had problems getting the name right in a printed ad... so it doesn't surprise me they are having problems with things like dimensions.

from the same company that had the flyer calling it the Nexus Prime, possibly just entered into their system by someone that didn't know there was a difference between the GSM/LTE versions

That picture definitely makes this dose a high grade one, which will only make it more painful when Ridiculous Red crashes my hope again

Yeah, I wouldn't get too hung up on the specific date. Sunday is the first day of Best Buy's Ad's for that upcoming week... with the Thunderbolt release, the were were all kinds of crazy dates (before and after when VZW was anticipated to release it). What we learned is that as the date got closer, it got more refined.

I doubt VZW will have an instore exclusive on this, so I'd expect BB to get their devices on the exact same day as Verizon and their dates will adjust to whatever date that is.

Yes, this makes a lot of sense. Best Buy's sales start on Sunday with the release of the Sunday flier in the newspaper.

The same thing happened with the Galaxy Tab. Released on Friday but Best Buy didn't have them until Sunday. I bought mine at Fry's for that reason.

the more important question is when Costco is going to have them in stock to purchase, since they'll most likely have a deal that includes a charging dock and other accessories.

the last time the Droid charge was released, it was the same day as the Verizon release, so i picked up the charge at costco. hopefully, costco sells the phone on the same day, december 8th, as verizon does for the g-nex.

I think that this new rumor supports a December 8th launch. It doesn't dismiss it, that's for sure. There are a few times that a Verizon phone has launched in their own stores and other companies like Best Buy and Costco get the phone a day or few later. I don't think

Maybe Verizon getting exclusive sale for a couple of days then the retailer next?

Not gonna think too much into this but I'm hoping for a 12/8 release. Regardless of whether that happens or not I'm 99% sure I will have this phone before Christmas. Verizon knows they'll have lost a lot of potential Nexus customers if the phone isn't out by Christmas...

I'm sure it will hit at Best Buy and VZW's major partners (Costco, etc.) on the same day. I doubt there would be a purposeful exclusion of those places. Remember, VZW wants the contract and those stores want the foot traffic and accessory sales. It behooves everyone to be available on the same day.

My partner (works for VZW corp) was selected to be part of a round table discussion meeting this morning for our region (the South region). In the meeting, the regional VP for the South for Verizon was there, along with the area president and district managers for various districts. The Regional VP announced in the meeting that the Nexus is coming on the 8th to VZW corporate stores and online. This matches with what P3 has been saying and what Verizon's own OMM marketing system has said for weeks now. The date is essentially set in stone at this point.

Another noteworthy piece: the regional VP said corporate is really excited about this phone. My partner told me he gets the feeling that corporate VZW expects it to be their first real successor to the OG Droid, and that it should share similar success.

At this point, after hearing what I've heard, I am 100000% sold on December 8th as the day. You can all believe whatever you want, but the 8th is the date I'm set for after hearing what I heard this morning.
