darn it you beat me to it!

Android 4.0.5 coming to Galaxy Nexus early next month | Android Community

This here ^. Apparently it is CONFIRMED that Verizon is now beta testing 4.0.5, so it is HIGHLY likely we will be seeing this update next month. (hopefully..... )

EDIT: the highlight of that article, in case you dont feel like reading: "Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0.5 for the Galaxy Nexus appears to fix audio reboot issues, battery life problems, data falling alseep, and will most likely have new radios. I’m hoping for some enhanced 4G LTE signals but that probably wont be happening."

can't wait for the update. reboots are infrequent, but it really puts a damper on my love for the gnex.

I think I've had enough of dropped calls,reboots....etc. Verizon offered me a Razor Maxx

They really need to revisit the children's story, "The Boy Who Cried Wolf."

The difference is there is a legitimate SOURCE this time, unlike 15,000 people saying "my verizon rep told me..." Whether or not it's April is still to be decided, but if the build is out there, and Verizon is testing it, that's far enough for me to assume it's actually likely. There's been a new version of android every month since the Nexus came out, maybe this will be the one to hit OTAs, maybe not.

Of course I wont believe it until I see it, but I think there's a better possibility we may actually see this one as an OTA.

How'd you get them to offer you a Maxx? Are you under the 15 days? I hypothetically asked them about it if the update does not fix the data switchoff issues and was shot down now that I'm past the 15 days.

I really love my phone and don't want to start over but I don't know how much longer I can deal with the data dropping and staring at gray bars and no service in a heavy 4g area. I also can not seem to take a good picture indoors for the life of me.

Call and explain your issues. They will try to send you another refurb, and explain that you have spoken to Samsung and it is hardware related. I just got off the phone with CS an hour ago, and as soon as their ordering software comes back online my order for a Maxx will be placed. Call every other day or so to report issues.

I would defiantly call back and make sure. That is not the first time I have seen them do that and the order not go in. Best of luck with it and I hope I am wrong

I shall predict.... the release date will be 04/05/2012 on all Verizon GNex's. Seems fitting eh?

All I want is more stability, camera bugs squashed and new radios. Hopefully I'm not being unreasonable with those requests!

I do Phil haha. But if I'm 21 do I still qualify as a kid?

What's twitter? Jostling.

IMO if you don't COMPLETELY support yourself you are still a kid. I'm 30 and some of my friends are definitely kids. Pretty sad...I blame the parents.

Back on topic I'm with the guy who doesn't really care because I don't have any issues on stock 4.0.2. I plan to root in a bit just to see what it's all about (wugfresh easy method). I would appreciate a faster handoff in fringe areas, but I'm not in the boonies all that often to notice.

I went to Syracuse, NY last weekend and experienced 4g for the first time on my Gnex. I definitely see what people mean about it dropping heavily indoors. I was in the Carousel Mall and any time I had a view of the sky I had nearly full bars of 4g, but anytime I went into a store 4g dropped and i switched to 3g.

I never once had an issue with data dropping off completely though, just swapping between 3g and 4g, and it did it quick too (im on 4.0.4 with those radios). I now understand people gripes about the 4g on this phone though.
