Rumor of Droid Incredible receiving update today

If were to come out, how would you go about updating your phone. Sorry for the n00b question, but I come from the BB family... :(

You will get a notification sent to the phone about the update, then it walks you through it and installs over the air.:cool:
 
To check manually on the HTC Incredible:

Settings > About Phone > System Updates.

I think its bs I got the first update before it was posted. I saw nothing today.

8:42 am Eastern and no update yet. I'm taking this with the same tiny grain of salt that I take all the other DInc update rumors with. ;-)
 
I have good news for all of you holding your breathe that this OTA Update is going to come immediately after reading this post!

Even if you have a complicated unlock pattern on your phone, you can still make emergency calls without worrying about unlocking it as you black out from lack of oxygen... ;)

Whether the rumor is true or not, I always find it better to try not to get excited until something is officially announced... Notice I said "try"...
 
There's no way it's coming out today. The supposed update was leaked on Phandroid, and on the new boot animation it still says "AMOLED Screen". Being that HTC is mixing in super LCDs for future batches of the Incredible, Verizon has stopped saying that Incredible comes with an AMOLED screen. Look at the droiddoes website - it used to say "3.7 inch AMOLED Screen" but now it just says "3.7 inch Screen".
 
Ok being a Droid noob I have some questions. Will they ask me when I want to install this or will they just push it whenever they want. I ask because I work midnights and would like my phone to work while I am awake and be updated when I am asleep.

You get a notification and can choose to install now or later.
