Rumor of Droid Incredible receiving update today

Boy... This reminds me of Crackberry, with everyone holding their breath (including me) for the update.

Difference is that people are MUCH nicer here!

nope - the wifi hotspot thing they are talking about - is turning your PHONE in to a 3G wifi hotspot (meaning you can connect your computer wireless to your phone and use it's connection to get to the internet)

you'd also get prompted to install the update - it's not silent

Droid-Life just updated.... they think it was photoshop'd. I can guarantee you I (or someone else) will have an article up as soon as the OTA update is confirmed. I wants me some 720p!

My guess too is its fake, if someone can send a screenshot and not provide further proof after it has been installed then i have to assume its fake, even more so since no one else has mentioned getting an update either.

It's not coming....seriously..would verizon want the hassle of dealing with all the update gone wrong calls the day after the droid x goes on sale?

If you get the notification, before doing anything, turn wifi on if your home or in a hot spot. The download will be much faster than trying it on 3g.

It might come at 11:59 tonight. They sent out an Eris upgrade to 2.1 email by mistake and someone said that there was an update coming for the Eris as well. We will see.
