That’s what it will depend on with the S21 launch and with it releasing early in the year waiting before green lighting the Note 21 or not..

If they can sell enough S Pens with the S21 then do they need to spend to release a Note anymore?

If they don’t sell any S Pens with the S21, does it show them people don’t really care about the S Pen anymore?

If they don’t sell enough S Pens, then do they then feel they need to sell the Note to keep the S Pen to try and squeeze out more sales?? Milk the Note for every last drop by promoting a last year special edition to send it off into the sunset. But they really flopped with the smaller Note 20 so was it worth it to them last year?

With that said I love my N20U but knew going from N8 I really don’t use the S Pen and didn’t care about it... just loved the design and shape of the N20U and went for that over waiting for the 12 Pro. But putting the layer on all S screens to give pen ability... just doesn’t seem to make sense to keep the Note line just to provide a silo. They are willing to remove earphones and recently ac adapters with the phone... why not the silo on the Note?? We’ll have to see.

I, personally, hope S21 Sales don't live up to their expectations, with or without the S-Pen! That might prove that this new "Little Guy in Charge" IS NOT LISTENING to his Customers... like D.J. Koh used to!!! Would serve him right, arrogant little...

If you really don't use the Spen then it doesn't matter. For those that do it's just convenient that it's there, at the ready without having to buy a special case or keep it someplace else. Having to buy a special case is very limiting. Keeping it somewhere else isn't going to fly.

they've been saying for years the S series was going to get the pen. I will believe it when I see it happen. I don't think it's going to be a game charger for the market, if thats what Samsung is trying to go for. the Note is in a class and holds its own very well. it would be a HUGE mistake on their part to get rid of this line. But you honestly never know. There's not a whole lot they can do spec wise to make a phone more perfect than what they already are. software is light years better than it has ever been. I prefer using my phones camera, to owning a digital one anymore, and with dex I've been able to turn my phone into a BEAST in the office and at home by turning my device into the ultimate office companion. so that leaves screens, batteries, and more refinement for the camera and OS. until the next big game changer comes along.
