Running 2.2 leak going to OTA 2.2

Ok so I am running the leaked 2.2 version 2.3.9 rooted and I guess it would be best for me to go to the official froyo release at this point. I would just like to know what I should do exactly. I have:

- Rooted
- Switched some bloat to .bak
- No themes

So at this point i need to???

- Name bloatware back to .apk
- SBF back to .604 VIA These instructions ??
-(Does all this remove root?)
- Update with OTA?
- Go about rooting my new 2.2

Or am I just way off and there is an easier way to do all this

No you are exactly right. When I flashed back to 2.1 I did get stuck in boot loop. If that happens just follow the instructions. Yes you will lose root but getting it back is easy following the instructions on the stickied threads. Good luck.

You gotta wipe data/cache in recovery before downgrading...
