my phone frooze up on me, i was forced to do a battery pull. i have the second to latest bonsai rom installed, went to restart my phone and i am now getting "the application logsprovider (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectidly please try again" with the option to force close, this pops up repeatidly not allowing me to do anything....

So i am thinking no big deal i have a nandroid back up that i can use..Now when i attempt to do the nandroid restore i get md5 mismatch. What do i do now?

Re: running bonsai. phone froze. forced to battery pull. md5 mism

ok after reading another post. i think the MD5 mismatch is because my last backup was done with CWM and i am attampting to restore with bonsai recovery? Anyhow i just re flashed bonsai and all is good now.

The problem was because my battery was not reading correctly for some reason and my battery was actually at 5% but showing 25% so the phone frooze up, and a battery pull is not a good idea for nonjournalling roms.

Actually if your running the latest Bonsai v4.1.3 they have journaling on by default now.

As far as backups yes there has been some issues with Bonsai's recovery or ( CWM ) not reading regular CWM's MD5 backups.

I have found myself using Bonsai's Master Key Unlocker for the quick and easy root/installation of CWM and then afterwards booting into Bonsai's recovery/CWM and flashing the installation zip for CWM purple 3.1.0.1 since that seems to be the CWM of choice these days for everything.
