OK, so I've had my Rezound for almost 2 weeks and still no ICS. I was hoping to get lucky and see ICS sometime soon, but since it's not here yet (and doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon), should I just go ahead and root?

(The bloat is killing me!! Need to get it off!!)

If your luck is like mine.....

If you wait until you are at a murderous rage and root it ICS will be release the next day.

If you do it now your phone will brick.

I say grab a beer and plan your life around a charger

You don't have to root to get the ICS leak although it's probably preferred. The ICS leak ROMs are much better than the leak itself.

ICS was never a guarantee this past week, it was a rumor like the Maxx. Like anything else, it will come, we just don't know when.

ICS isn't a necessity for me.... I just really want to root and get the bloat off for the time being.

If it's just a bloat thing, try one of Scotts roms. If debloating is all you want try his CleanRom. If that's not enough for your taste. Debloated & a bare boned Sense UI sounds up your alley try his Senseless series, GB or ICS, roms. You can't go wrong with any of the above. Non rooted, there's always the current leak w/ firmware in tow. If you were planning on rooting anyhow. You could do that and just root and revert back if that's not on par with you. You've got alotta options at your disposal. Almost all are much nicer daily drivers over stock GB.
