Ruu help

Hi I was wondering if I flash att ruu on my HTC will it turn s on ? I am currently using a att HTC one m8 with the gpe rom

No it will not. It will wipe your phone to an out of the box state at that software level. but you will still be blissfully SOFF.

And I was wondering since now there is are ruu's now I was wondering do I have to change my cid then flash the ruu or, or do the previous step like change the cid then flash a kernel and recovery
