HTC's website when the phone is available

Thank you I will go to that site when I get home. I have been waiting for an alternative of iPhone and this phone seems to suit and be warranted of my liking.

I'm so interested in the IR blaster feature b/c I want to use my phone as a remote control as well. Currently I enjoy my Logitech harmony 650 for controlling 5 devices and can only imagine how fun it must be to walk into a club beer stnad and suddenly start changing channels LOL not that I'm going to do that but I'm sure it could be used (HTC One) as a mobile remote control (I can not do that with my harmony 650), a good example the TV and cable at my job during breaks and lunch, the TVs at the gym's threadmill and so on.

Thank you again. I only hope the same LTE bands work on AT&T and tmobile alike.

Unfortunately the Dev edition is not available for pre order though, i would expect tomorrow or Friday but i am not sure. But it should work on both T-Mobile and ATT with no problems. I am quite excited for the IR blaster too ever since i got a smart phone i kept thinking "what if i could use my phone as a remote, that would be cool!" without having to buy a $1500 smart tv.. i can now use it to change channels on any tv that i own! Assuming it is supported

Yeap the IR Blaster feature also reminds me of the Palm pilot days right.

Heh funny story i was probably too young for those crazy phones or i didnt notice them! I had an iphone 3g for a few years im only 19 right now... i dont even remember what i had before that how sad..,

Well those were the good days. I had a palm tungsten running at 400Mhz. It had an IR port and I remember using a program to go along to change channels, then I had a Treo 650, same thing. The reception wasn't so powerful (the signal) but they used to get the job done :)...oh I'm 35 yrs old.

It will NOT work on T-Mobile's HSPA if you aren't in an area that T-Mobile upgraded to the 1900MHZ.

So I saw AT&T has the ONE at $599.99 for full retail. A little more expensive than I thought it'd be, so that sucks. Anyone know any sites/stores that would have a competitive price for full retail?

Yeah $599 is too expensive for a locked unit on AT&T, if it was the developer edition it would out some leverage.

Considering iPhones start at $599 for 16GB unlocked.... that's not too bad. I mean a 64GB iPhone 5 unlocked is $799. This one is $649. Not bad, relatively speaking that is.

Yes but the iPhone doesn't come with all the crapware the carriers put on their devices. I would buy it if it was complete unlocked and firmware clean (with no AT&T bloatware)

Fair enough. But software isn't a price factor for me, especially when I will be able to remove it later which is probably why both carrier versions and developer versions of 64GB are the same price I wouldn't value no "bloatware" at $150. But to each their own. Good luck in whatever you decide. I'm still waiting on t-mobile.

True, but like cheatvrg stated, it's locked to a carrier. Plus I was under the impression it'd retail at $549. It's like $60-$70 more than I had planned for (after tax).
