Noticed last week when wanting to send some files over from my S5. Android Beam is there and works (painfully slow file transfer) but S Beam was so much better!

Use samsung quick connect. It will transfer over WiFi and is basically the same thing as sbeam.

Thanks for that. Wonder why they got rid of it, was so effortless to use

Yeah I have been wondering where it went. My work got me a Note 5 a few months ago, and I take a lot of pics with it, then want them on my S5 and it takes forever to transfer. Yeah you can use Wi-Fi direct, but it's a pain to setup. I have to make sure I turn on wifi on the receiving phone and then find my other phone and then start it. Most of the time I don't bother and just wait for Bluetooth to work. Unless it is a large file.
I didn't realize that S-beam was something special until I tried having a guy with a LG beam me a video and it took a half hour.
People complain about Samsung and Touch Wiz. But they have a lot of awesome features. I think something went down between Samsung and Google and they had to remove it.
