I just got a Note 8 a week ago and loving it. I'm messing around with the S Pen to see what it's capable of. What I'm trying to do is extract a person from one photo and paste that person in another photo. I was able to use Smart Select to outline the person but all I can do from there was save it as a separate photo of the person I outlined. I was hoping there would be an easy way to basically copy what I selected then paste it wherever I wanted. Anybody have any tips? Do I need to download another app to do this?

Open the photo/picture you want to add the outlines image too. Select the 3 dots in the top right corner then open photo editor. From there you can add you outlined image to your new photo

I tried it and I still can't do it! How do I add the outlined part of the photo that I made with Smart Select. I outlined a poppy and saved it. Then I went to my dog picture and followed what you said, but I don't have a clue where to retrieve the outlined poppy from and add it to the dog picture. I am dense obviously.

Save the cutout image.
I use s-note for these photos.
Add the other pic to s-note, then add the cutout image, then merge them the way you want.

Sorry after that select decoration at the bottom of the page, then select image, from there you'll be able to select your outlined image. You can then resize it and change the angle if the image etc....

Thanks so much. I did it! I had to write the instruction down for future use as it seems with the aging process I forget so much easier. First attempt isn't great. 20171112_114249.jpg

I always save the outline to scrapbook like you could on previous Galaxy Note devices, then as said above use S Note App to plant it on a new photo, its pretty funny what you can do with it.
Also you can record a drawing in S Note and send that too, pretty much like live message but without the glitter, its called 'record sketching'
