S. Pen Holder Accessory

I purchased the S. Pen holder (& s.pen that fits inside) from Samsung in the hope that it being a full size 'pen' it would work more efficiently than the on-board one. Certainly it's brilliant on air view, & tapping functions & scrolling, but I've found it to be lacking when used for actual writing functions. The pen nib seems to be sharper and harder than the device one - so it tends to slip across the screen too easily. Has anyone else experienced this, and is it possible to change the nib (it didn't come with any spares) or are there different types of pen for different versions of the Note? It's disappointing because they are quite expensive (?29) in the UK!

The product that you got was made for the orignal Note phone thats why the spen is different. There are two spens out that are made for the Note 10.1 and are larger and have an eraser on the back end.
The one I have is the Samsung ET-S200EBE S Pen w/ Eraser. It's available on ebay for around $30. It also comes with two types a nibs(plastic and rubber).

Hi Raymond, many thanks for that - I've ordered one from Amazon, so looking forward to a better experience. Upon searching You tube, I see that I'm not the only one confused about this is; there appears to be a consensus that Samsung are selling these under false pretences to get rid of old stock!
