Samsung quite some time ago, had a contest with a large cash prize for people to develop S-Pen applications. Ideas /apps for the S-Pen that people use?

Are you asking if they do that now? Don't think so. That was for when the sylus was new. Notes are common now and apps are there so doubt they're going to do that again.

No I meant in the past. But the apps suck and there are not many at all.... ugh

I don't think I could be anymore confused by this thread. Is there a question here?

Are you asking if we think the S-Pen is underutilized? It works great for me and I use it everyday so personally I'd say no. Everyone has their own uses and needs though so....

I'm confused too. I'm trying to think of a usage scenario that exists that doesn't have an S Pen supported app.

Note taking/hand writing recognition - check
Sketching and drawing - check
Camera remote - check
Image editing - check
Document signing - check
Document mark up - check
Doodling while recording video - check
Sending hand written notes - check

The S Pen does all of that.

Did I miss anything?

I'm just saying there should be more apps - with all the functionality with the pen there could be some neat games, etc...

Pen up in app drawer

maybe he thinks the pen should work with the wii
No - but what games can use the motion sensor and other capabilities of the s-pen? There are alot more possibilities thank just writing - if you look at everything in that long list the vast majority of it is just document creation and modification. The pen could be a wand for games and other apps for example...

I'd love for PDFs to be controlled by the gestures of the S Pen. I'd love to be able to exit an application and return to the Home Screen by clicking on the top of the S Pen.

Artist lol ...yeah same

I use Outlook regularly. It syncs across all of my devices and it supports Google accounts so I don't need multiple email apps.

I can use my personal (Outlook.com), school (Office 365), and corporate (Google) all from app. Even on my Surface Pro and desktop.
