S Pen - smart select

Hi guys, was just wondering, if I am on a page, and I want to cut out a picture, or a paragraph, I take out the S Pen, select, smart select, then select the area or pic I want to cut out to share

When I hit the share button, say I then share it to whatsapp, it gives the picture, but then also all the word in the picture as a message

Is there a setting or somewhere I can change this ?

I know this sounds a bit confusing, see attached pic

I haven't tried this solution myself, but if you share to clipboard then paste it into the app the text should be removed. Alternately you could save the selection (to the galley by default) then attach/upload it.

I'm pretty sure there isn't a setting to disable the text annotation.

Thanks, saving it first and then going to gallery to send, just seems like unnecessary extra steps to follow, it's right there, I selected what I wanted, I just want to share it from there, oh well, suppose it's one of those things

Easy fix select area you want to share, then select DRAW, then share. It'll share without the text stuff. Below is a screen shot of a video on the YouTube home page. After selecting draw I had hit save so it could be added here

What's really cool about this note, is it has the S Pen and the edge selection bar so if you for whatever reason don't want to get the pen out (say you're multitasking) use the edge panel for one handed sharing

This happens often when sharing with WhatsApp, I just delete the text that comes, doesn't take long

I am sure I am missing something obvious, but I had something I had used smart select on, a block of text, and for a while I had it on the aod, and then over the whole screen (it was something the whole family kept forgetting and needed to remember) and then it said save and I hit that. But now I can't find it. Where does it save?

The smart select is also available on S8 and S8+ with the same functionality. They really closed the gap with the Note.

The S-Pen exclusive features have been fewer

Thanks.. I swear i did exactly that the first time and didn't see it.. Then went back after your post and sure enough it was there. I like using the pen so I'm not sure I'd ever use that.. But I'll keep it, just in case
