Had the S8 before the Note, and yeah he gap between the 2 models are closer than ever before. Most of the things can be done now on the S8 models as well.

Thanks for the edge panel information everyone. I keep reading and finding all these super cool features. I am having great fun learning and creating! I think I am driving my husband nuts by so many frequent comments of "you have to see this!" lol
